LEADERSHIP
Leadership is influence and how we steward that influence to accomplish positives outcomes. Our leadership can stall from time to time, and, oftentimes, we don’t even notice as it’s happening. So, it’s imperative that we continually take time to reflect on and rethink leadership. In this conversation, we focus on the levels of influence and how they can grow to create greater effectiveness. Also, we take a hard look at what separates great leaders from horrible leaders. And, finally, we will do a deep dive into your leadership with some though provoking and heart changing questions. |
CULTURE
Culture impacts everything we do, everything we are and everything we become. Yet, it is the one thing we seem to have the toughest time building and maintaining. Culture is defined by the individuals on your team, their personalities, their values, and their weirdness. In this conversation, we’ll talk about how to create a culture in which people can come to work and be the best version of themselves, which, incidentally, is the goal of leadership. |
TEAM
In this session, we’ll get down to basics – what is a team and why should you care? We’ll cover the importance of “teaming” in your organization, and how we create the chemistry it takes to “team” at a high level. Is there I in team? YES! We will have a lot of conversation surrounding that thought and how to be a great team player and a great I on the team. No matter who you you’re your role on the team makes a difference. We will also discuss how to address the benefit of connection within an organization – leaders with team members and team members with each other. Then the conversation will lead us to uncover the 4 secrets of effective teams. |
PEOPLE
Obviously, teams are made up of people. People make or break a team and an organization. Leading your team to sustained effectiveness has never been more important. In addition to preexisting challenges, you must also manage differing personalities and the complexities that generational differences can create. In other words, you have a team full of weird people and you must navigate through the complexities of human weirdness! In this unconventional conversation, we will talk abouthow to understand what makes people so different as well as how to navigate those complexities. Taking it another step further, we will begin to expose some below the surface issues that will help the team be more effective. We will take a look at how to build the chemistry you need on your team to take it to the next level. That is what this conversation is about. We will also use a simple personality tool to really create a deeper understanding of the weirdness in us and the weirdness around us. |
GOALS
In every session, no matter the topic, Steve aims at accomplishing the following things with your group.
- Helping each team member understand their role in leadership and how he or she can make positive contribution to the team and organization
- Creating a better connection within the organization, especially between formal leaders and team members
- Making better people...therefore, better leaders = better teams = better organizations
- Encouraging a better understanding of each person on the team and what they have to offer
- Teaching each person to gain a better understanding of their own strengths, personalities, and individual gifts
- Strengthening levels of communication from people within the organization
- Improving confidence of every team member and, therefore, improved confidence of the whole team
- Facilitating responsibility from each team member to create a culture in which people can come to work and be the best version of themselves
- Increasing productivity due to improved culture and team work
THE FIRST STEP IN A DRAMATIC ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE PLAN IS OBVIOUS;
DRAMATIC PERSONAL CHANGE.
